As Rolls-Royce's first mass-produced all-electric model, the Spectre has defined a new benchmark for electric luxury since its global debut in 2023 — initially commanding a premium entry price exceeding ¥6 million. According to recent information circulating through dealer channels, the Spectre Series II has initiated a pricing strategy adjustment for the Chinese market: the VAT-inclusive base price is expected to drop to approximately ¥4.45 million — ¥1.3 million lower than the original Spectre's starting price of ¥5.75 million. Including all taxes (VAT and luxury vehicle consumption tax), the estimated total reference price stands at around ¥4.9 million; factoring in first-year insurance, registration, and other fees, the anticipated on-road price is roughly ¥5.4 million.

This price adjustment is not merely a straightforward discount — it coincides with significant upgrades across standard equipment. The Spectre Series II now includes as standard several premium features previously offered only as costly options on the flagship combustion-engine Rolls-Royce Ghost — features collectively valued at approximately ¥360,000 in the aftermarket. These include: 22-inch partially polished alloy wheels (¥200,000 option on Rolls-Royce Ghost), Static Starlight Headliner (¥100,000), Charles Blue contrast stitching (¥35,000), and lambswool floor mats (¥30,000).

Compared to the original Spectre — which launched at a higher starting price — most of these features remained optional. Based on the original Spectre's ¥5.75 million taxed starting price, actual on-road cost — including luxury vehicle consumption tax, first-year insurance, and registration fees — could exceed ¥6.4 million. In contrast, the Spectre Series II delivers a roughly ¥1 million price reduction while simultaneously elevating luxury experience — a structural boost to overall value proposition.

It should be emphasized that current pricing figures stem from frontline dealer feedback — not an official announcement from Rolls-Royce. All referenced prices, configurations, and tax calculations reflect market speculation only; final specifications and pricing remain subject to official confirmation by the brand. Whether this move signals Rolls-Royce's accelerated rollout of its electrification strategy — or a proactive response to intensifying competition in the premium EV segment — remains to be seen.
